Seeking lawyer's aid with divorce case
Posted by: josephpinnock - 05-19-2022, 09:00 PM - Forum: Past or Current cases - No Replies

Here is a previous case by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reason).

I am calling on behave of J. J needs a civil or divorce case attorney. She was with M for 20 years then they got married. She found out he was married and they separated after 6 months of being married. J thought that since he was already married, the divorce would be invalid, so she didn’t do it. During the time they were together, J got pregnant and now the child is an adult. M eventually filed a petition against J with the aid of C who I think might be a part of your team. This is an ongoing case in the LA Superior Court and the case number is XXXX. The court gave J a one-month extension about 1 week ago so she now has 3 more weeks until the court date.

J has 2 houses with the LLC Housing involved that are worth over 20 million dollars. She has a 1million dollar hard money loan and because they filed the petition against her, she was unable to take out a second loan of 7 million dollars in which she only wanted one million to pay off the loan she had. There is a 3.5 million dollar mortgage involved that she is taking care of because she is a successful real estate broker.

Many lawyers stepped in to help her but they only made things worse for her because they started making deals behind her back about sharing the profit of her houses. I think the hard money lender are in with M’s team because they just gang up on her all at once. The petitioner has a family member that works as a supervisor on the board of LA County and she fakes a lot of documents. We would love a lawyer that won't be shaken up just because of the amount of power this lady holds.

Family dispute--issue with seeing my mother and I have POA
Posted by: Donesia - 05-19-2022, 07:05 PM - Forum: Past or Current cases - No Replies

Here is a previous case by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reasons).

I filled out an information form on the website yesterday and she had someone named "R" leave me a message regarding my case.

I have POA over my parents and Covid was hitting the nursing home pretty bad that they were staying, my mother's health was being affected so I allowed her to go stay with my sister who is now refusing to return her or allow her to go to her specialist appointments. My mother is diabetic and she didn't look healthy, so my sister begged me to let her take our mother out of the nursing home. I didn't want to do it because we didn't get along but everybody was on board, nieces and nephews said it would be fine since it was a temporary arrangement.

I went to the house to pick my mother up for her foot appointment and my sister had the door locked and wouldn't let her come out so I called the police. The police came and "D" of the Tulare County Police Department went inside to talk to my sister. He later came out and informed me that he spoke with my sister and that my mother looked fine. He also used to be a paramedic and her feet didn't look swollen. He asked my mother if she wanted to come with me and she said no. The police told me if he was me, he would get conservatorship because the POA was not enough. My mother has dementia and she is unable to make decisions on her own that's why they paid the money for me to get POA over their medical, their finance, and their trust. I have no reason to be fighting with my sister. I should have the right to make a decision where she is not able to stop me and I should be able to put my mother back in the nursing home where we all can see her and take care of her.

I called adult protective services in Nora and the supervisor lady said under no circumstance the police should have made that call, saying my mother was fine and that she didn't need to see a doctor. This is the 3rd foot appointment my sister has caused our mother to miss and she is at high risk of her feet being amputated because of her diabetes. May of this year makes it's one year now since my mother has been living with my sister, communication between us has not been good, I'm frustrated and just want to take back charge and not allow this to happen anymore.

I wanted to also file a lawsuit against the police officer because who was he to make the call he did but I wasn't sure what my options were. I have the document to confirm the POA for my parents and I would like to get some help with this.

  Landlord and tenant discrimination dispute
Posted by: josephpinnock - 05-19-2022, 05:04 PM - Forum: Past or Current cases - No Replies

Here is a previous case by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reason).

I received an email from you so I would like to know how you are going to help me. I signed up from the Lawyers by win rate website and you got my information from there.

I would also like a lawyer to help me with a landlord and tenant dispute. The landlord is working with a company name LA Family Housing and they are discrimination against me and my rights. I am working with a rental company and they are discriminating against my rights. I asked them for handicap parking and repair but they did nothing other than violate my rights. The landlord is submitting false documents with my name on it to management.

I was supposed to be getting help from the housing assistant. I was supposed to be paying half the rent and the housing assistant would be paying the other half. The Mashcole Property Management is giving me the run around because I am trying to get somewhere else to live but each time they told me they are doing things to help me and I don’t see them doing anything or anything happening. The management company is also discriminating against me and my rights. All this discrimination started from June of 2021.

  LegalZoom Arbitration

LegalZoom Arbitration Requirement

DISPUTE RESOLUTION BY BINDING ARBITRATION
Please read this carefully. It affects your rights.
Summary:
Most customer concerns can be resolved quickly and to the customer's satisfaction by calling our Customer Care Center at (800) 773-0888. In the unlikely event that the LegalZoom Customer Care Center is unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction (or if LegalZoom has not been able to resolve a dispute it has with you after attempting to do so informally), we each agree to resolve those disputes through binding arbitration or in small claims court rather than in a court of general jurisdiction. Arbitration is less formal than a lawsuit in court. Arbitration uses a neutral arbitrator instead of a judge or jury, allows for more limited discovery than a court does, and is subject to very limited review by courts. Any arbitration under these Terms will take place on an individual basis; class arbitrations and class actions are not permitted. While in some instances, upfront costs to file an arbitration claim may exceed similar costs to bring a case in court, for any non-frivolous claim that does not exceed $75,000, LegalZoom will pay all costs of the arbitration. Moreover, in arbitration you may recover attorney's fees from LegalZoom to the same extent or more as you would in court. The arbitrator shall apply the same limitations period that would apply in court.
Under certain circumstances (as explained below), LegalZoom will pay you more than the amount of the arbitrator's award and will pay your attorney (if any) his or her reasonable attorney's fees if the arbitrator awards you an amount greater than what LegalZoom offered you to settle the dispute.
You may speak with independent counsel before using this Site or completing any purchase.
Arbitration Agreement:
(a) LegalZoom and you agree to arbitrate all disputes and claims between us before a single arbitrator. The types of disputes and claims we agree to arbitrate are intended to be broadly interpreted...

Finland's Gasum and Russia's Gazprom head to arbitration
Posted by: Donesia - 05-18-2022, 08:18 PM - Forum: Arbitration information - No Replies

May 18, 2022 EU unveils $220-billion renewable energy plan to sidestep Russian gas: The European Union Commission announced a 210 billion euro plan ($221 billion) on Wednesday to boost the bloc’s target for renewable energy from 40% to 45% by 2030, as part of efforts to move away from Russian hydrocarbons.

The news comes as Finland’s main gas company, Gasum is warning that supplies could be cut off this weekend. On Tuesday, Gasum said it would not pay for Russian gas in rubles or use Gazprom’s proposed payment scheme for gas. In a statement, the company said negotiations over a long-term gas contract with Gazprom were in dispute, and it was taking Gazprom to mandatory binding arbitration to try and resolve the matter.

Query about landlord and tenant dispute
Posted by: josephpinnock - 05-18-2022, 08:01 PM - Forum: Arbitration questions - No Replies

Here is a previous question that was asked by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reason).

Well, I got a few questions about the landlord tenant problem. If I'm getting evicted and we settle out of court and pay our debt, do we still have to pay the landlord's lawyer fees? Another question, I've been going through my rent receipts and three-day notice papers and it's not lining up the number of rents to my balance. I think my landlord has been taking our money. I have prove, what do I do? We always paid cash and she always let us go for two months without paying, always paid rent for three months and always with cash. I just need help. I have the rent leaser starting from 2012 up until 2022. I have most of my receipts. Well, I just need to advise one on how to pursue this landlord.

Attacked by 4 individuals, seeking help to get them evicted
Posted by: josephpinnock - 05-18-2022, 05:31 PM - Forum: Past or Current cases - No Replies

Here is a previous case by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reason).

I have been in touch with a S. I want to go forward with a legal matter but I would like to speak to a representative by phone my cell number is XXXX. Could you please have a rep. call me? I want to discuss starting a claim and all the details. I have won a federal lawsuit before but that was back in 1996 or 1997 it’s been a while. Sure, I have been attacked and threatened by 4 different individuals multiple times. I documented all incidents, called the police files cases, and requested all the camera evidence. Management ignores my requests and never evicted the people threatening me. We have cameras everywhere. Management has lied consistently lied to me and will not allow me access to the camera evidence. I’m a US Army veteran. I have no fear. I was trained to protect the USA and I always will. We have many other problems besides me being attacked. We have drug users and dealers living in the buildings as well as pimps and prostitutes. Management has been noticed by many many people and yet they do nothing.

  Scams against older adults
Posted by: Donesia - 05-18-2022, 05:07 PM - Forum: Arbitration information - No Replies

Scams against senior adults generate billions of dollars each year for criminals. This age group is often a target because scammers think older adults trust others more readily and are easier to persuade. While no age group is immune to scams, USAC can and does take legal actions to stop fraud against older adults. Contact us!
