Was told an adjuster would come and check things out and no one has come and I asked again and was told someone would be there on Sunday 1/9/2022. I need help getting this resolved and I want to be compensated for all the damages, money I have spent due to being displaced from my home & living in a hotel. I paid $17,000 for 6 months rent.

I was in accident, I was not pleased with the lawyer work so I got a different one. This case was 6 yrs old and the new lawyer got it settled in 3 weeks. Now the old lawyer is saying I owe him 40 000 for work done on the case. The case was settled for 30 000 would I have to give the old lawyer the whole settlement?
