My daughter had a court marriage last month with a UK citizen holding a UK passport and an overseas citizen of India card. The marriage was held in India under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. The boy has been misbehaving with my daughter since and threatens to divorce her in the UK. I wanted to know if he can file for a divorce in the UK, and if yes, can we move the case to India as we cannot travel there frequently. My daughter doesn't want a divorce and she's very upset. Please help.
