Here is a previous case by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reasons). This concerns a non-physical injury automobile accident in the city of Visalia, California, on May 6, 2022. The matter at issue in this case is that the intersection in question, E. College Avenue and S. Vista Avenue, was unmarked in any direction, despite the testimony of local witnesses who stated that such signage had been there previously and that there had been a number of accidents since they were removed (there were no witnesses of the actual accident). We brought the matter up to the city since we felt they basically put our lives at risk by their faulty decision-making, and they made no admission of guilt or regarded our concerns. We were, in fact, told that they had no responsibility to place signage at this intersection. The problem with that remark was that the city was actually placing stop signs at that intersection at the very same time that they were denying their need. Status: under review |
