I am dealing with a furniture company and they have an arbitration clause in their contract/agreement. I have some questions about arbitration that I would like to know. In the agreement they have, it say to go through AAA or JAMS. If I don’t want to go through either company, can we go through another arbitration company? Is inquiries something that can go through arbitration? I want to know about filing fees. Will I be the one paying the filing fees if the company is the one that said we have to go through arbitration? What if the person/company doesn’t have an arbitration clause in their agreement, can we still go through arbitration? Can I file for arbitration without the person/company’s knowledge and then inform them after it has been filed?
