The client said he was looking for a lawyer to help with a family dispute. He said this dispute is between him and his brother. This started when his father passed away in December 2011. He said they had a verbal agreement that he would take over the equity and pay for their mother’s expenses from the equity because there was no money available after their father passed away. He said the house had a significant mortgage on it. Now that the housing price has gone up, his brother wants to break that agreement and wants 50/50.
