Here is a previous question that was asked by *** (Identity withheld for privacy reason).
I was in accident, I was not pleased with the lawyer work so I got a different one. This case was 6 yrs old and the new lawyer got it settled in 3 weeks. Now the old lawyer is saying I owe him 40 000 for work done on the case. The case was settled for 30 000 would I have to give the old lawyer the whole settlement? I don't live in the USA but was just trying to find out if there is anything I can do. Would this advise be also free or is there a cost?
